Word of the Day: Frangipani
Sixteenth century Italian nobleman Marquis Frangipani created a perfume to scent his gloves.
When 17th century French botanist Charles Plumier discovered the plant, which we also know as the Plumeria, in Central America, its fragrance reminded people of the Marquis' concoction.
